by George Kissi

The recent decline in the price of HDTVs could be attributed to the great number of of new manufacturers currently producing HDTVs. Whether or not these new HDTV manufacturers build great products remains to be seen. One of the new manufacturers is Westinghouse.

Even though they mostly known for appliances for the home they are not well known for HDTVs. The issue is if their HDTVs are as good a quality as their appliances. It is important to know what others think about their Westinghouse HDTVs before you purchase one. Below are a few online reviews from people who have bought a Westinghouse HDTV.

The LTV-32w1 Model Westinghouse HDTV

This exact Westinghouse HDTV model received a full rating of four stars out of five from 17 assorted users. It was given the best appraisal for picture excellence but didn't fair too well for ease of use and quality of sound.

One consumer who rated this model with five stars commented the remote was of inferior quality. He found the best deal on this model at Best Buy, for $400 less than the same brand at Circuit City. Like several HDTV buyers, this customer was replacing an old analog tube television set, so it's quite normal that he was amazed by the picture quality due to the fact that this was his first experience with an HDTV picture in his home.

This Westinghouse HDTV model has been improved to include a SpineDesign input layout a trade mark of Westinghouse, an all-inclusive ATSC high definition tuner, ARSC and NTSC (standard definition) tuners combining on channel list for easier viewing, and a new chassis design. This model was given very high ratings by consumers for its value, with excellent ratings for features and user friendliness. The picture quality is excellent, with a resolution of 1366768 with the lamp life-cycle estimated at 60,000 hrs.

One of the greatest features about this model, according to consumers, is the "Spine Design" input layout that has inputs coming out to the sides of the model, allowing for easily plugging in components.
