Getting The Advantages Of The Hewlett Packard LaserJet P1006 Printer

Gaining a good understanding of the HP LaserJet P1006 printer will rapidly show that Hewlett-Packard keeps up the focus on offering a number of printers at a wide range of prices and capabilities. It also can be had for a very nice, low price. It features nice printing speed and quality as well, from the HP LaserJet P1006 toner, meaning it will usually be a superior product for a price of around $125 retail.

Given that this monochrome laser printer offers an array of features at such a good price, it's hard to see how the typical small office and home office (SOHO) entrepreneur couldn't help but be attracted by the P1006. For anybody operating on a tight, startup-type budget, it might be that this model could fill the bill so many businesses are looking to have filled (price-buster in a troubled economy).

Advertised speed of printing from HP says the printer will be able to produce about 17 ppm of nice-quality product. Again, for the price, this level of performance in monochrome printing is actually exceptional. Of course, the kind of print job sent to this device may cause printing to be faster or slower, depending on how graphics-rich or intensive the job will be.

This HP is notably light in weight, weighing about 10.5 pounds in a nicely-compact size. As a lightweight printer and in a compact size, it's sure to fit well on most any desktop environment. It will sit there working quietly and doing most everything that HP has intended for this particular printer to carry out. At this, it'll do the job with ease and aplomb.

The LaserJet P1006 is made to deliver print quality that can only be rated as excellent, seeing as how it uses 1,200 dots per inch print resolution to do its work. Most other printers at this price category usually only supply 600 dots per inch, but this printer doubles that easily through means of one of Hewlett-Packard's image enhancement technology tools.

The HP P1006 can connect to a computer by means of an included USB port, though Hewlett-Packard doesn't bother to include one with it (at the price it goes for, though, this is no big deal). After it's been plugged into the computer it'll quickly upload all the required drivers and software that'll enable the printer to get up to speed and operating optimally in no time at all.

The printer comes standard with 8 MB of RAM, and it will use the computer's processing power to do most of its work. An onboard microprocessor of 266 MHz keeps everything humming along speedily and with no fuss, by the way. It will take its 160 sheets of total paper storage capacity and put it to good use, taking advantage of its ability to work by using most Windows-based and Mac-based operating systems.

When it comes to reliability and durability, the HP LaserJet P1006 printer meets every expectation you would have with Hewlett-Packard.  Durability is backed up by virtue of its 5,000 page per month duty cycle, and it's a rare occasion indeed if it'll ever need more than regular or scheduled maintenance. After taking stock of all of its functions and features — along with that nice price — it'll be hard to see why anyone on a budget and needing a laser printer wouldn't at least consider going with it.

The benefits offered by the HP LaserJet P1006 toner cartridge are just one additional selling point with this printer.  As to be expected, Hewlett-Packard sets the bar on what you will get with HP cartridges.  Quality and clarity are the main strong points with this ink and toner cartridges, along with eliminating costly reprints.
