Most people really have no idea how to play Age of Conan, because it is so new. That is understandable. If you want, you can always just buy the gold outright. This is a good idea if you don't have the time to mine it yourself. Gold prices for Age of Conan are very high right now, since there hasn't been massive inflation and a surplus of gold created by exploits and farmers (like with World of Warcraft).

You basically have two options for making gold in Age of Conan: buy a guide, or just outright buy the gold. But you will find that there are not many guides out there, and there are not that many people selling massive amounts of Age of Conan gold (yet). I am sure this will change as the game gets more popular.

An Age of Conan guide will definitely help you play the game better. Problem is, there really aren't a lot of strategy guides out for it yet. I looked on clickbank just now and I could only find one decent guide on the game. Compared to World of Warcraft, Age of Conan has not been out for long at all. I think it was only released about a month ago. And of course, since it's so new, it doesn't have the type of fan-base World of Warcraft has. So there aren't many guides out for it yet.
