The Hewlett Packard 8000dn Printer And It's Variety Of Applications

When considering the HP LaserJet 8000dn printer using HP LaserJet 8000dn toner, make sure to give all of its capabilities and functions the consideration they're due because there are plenty of them. This particular Hewlett-Packard printer is surprisingly low priced and delivers its monochrome print products very capably and with typical HP reliability, which is not only not surprising but also very comforting.

Printing speed capabilities of the 8000dn are uniformly excellent, with over 24 pages of product delivered by the printer every minute. The 24 page criteria is in the printer's normal mode, which means that one can expect slightly higher print speeds if a slightly lower quality printing mode is selected. At any rate, whatever product emerges will look very nice regardless of mode.

The Hewlett-Packard 8000dn can also be connected to a network through a number of different wired connections. This includes traditional parallel porting and even a very nice Ethernet 10/100 port. In short, most any information technology specialist will make short work of the chore when it comes to hooking up this versatile monochrome printer to just about any network.

Monochrome print resolution with the 8000dn is also excellent, and the printer can boast of 1,200 dpi quality printing. For a printer positioned in this market segment and at the price the model goes for, this is particularly impressive, as most printers at this price point are usually only capable of printing out at 600 dpi. 1,200 will deliver excellent quality with very sharp and clean pages produced.

Hewlett-Packard has also included a very functional duplex printing capability with the 8000dn. Duplex printing is the ability to print on both sides of a sheet of paper without having to manually flipped the paper in order to have the opposite side printed on. For many businesses, having duplex printing in a printer at this price point will be very pleasing, indeed.

The machine comes standard with a full 24 MB of RAM, which is usually more than enough for the needs of most any workgroup. It can be increased greatly, all the way up to 192 MB, with very little trouble. Check with the office IT specialist to see if a memory upgrade should be done prior to networking the machine. Chances are, though, that it won't be required.

The 8000dn is able to hold 1,100 sheets of paper within its capacious storage trays, and it can print out on a variety of media elements, including standard letter, legal, envelope and transparencies. Check the specifications for all of the different media sizes, because there are a great many. Like most HP printers, it has been designed to work with Windows-based operating systems.

In total, looking at all of the capabilities and functions of the HP LaserJet 8000dn printer shows a machine that's ready to go and comes in at a surprisingly low sub-$300 price tag. If one can be found on the marketplace, whether new, used or refurbished, it would probably be a good idea to snap it up while it's still around, because it's highly capable and very durable.

Part of the appeal with this particular printer comes from the HP LaserJet 8000dn compatible toner and its ability to produce product with clarity and sharpness. HP ink and toner in general seems to have this characteristic and its true that quality laser toner will always shine through.
